Review the Guidelines for Breed Standards A Breed Standard Committee is formed to review & formulate revisions. Notify staff of the American Kennel Club that the club is in the process of reviewing the standard. Parent Club Conference 2010

Parent Club Conference 2010
Submitting Revisions Submit revisions to AKC staff for input while being developed. In accordance with the Charter and By Laws of the American Kennel Club, Breed Standard revisions must be submitted to the Board of Directors of the AKC for approval.

Balloting of Membership
Parent Club Conference 2010 Balloting of Membership Ballot Membership in accordance with the Club’s Constitution & By-Laws Conduct mailing following membership renewal for the year The ballot must also inform the membership of the 5 year moratorium Submit results of balloting, copy of the ballot, cover letter, and standard to AKC staff

The Final Decision Upon receipt of the final vote from the Parent Club, the standard and the results are scheduled for inclusion in the Board Book. Upon approval of the Board of Directors, notification is sent to the Parent Club with reiteration of the 5 year moratorium.

Approved Standard Published in the Secretary’s Page of the Gazette AKC mails new standard to approved judges.
