1. YR 7 Welcome!

2. Setting up your ICT Folder
On the home screen double click on the
“my documents” folder
In this folder click on the new folder icon
Then Re-name your new folder “Year 7ICT”
All of your ICT work will be saved in this folder!!

3. Reflective Journal
Visit the School VLE and find the ICT Reflective Journal.
It should contain your name, current level and target grade.
This will act as your 3 year work portfolio.

4. Using PowerPoint

5. Today’s Lesson Objectives:
All: Will know how to insert text, titles and create new slides in PowerPoint.
Most: Will Be able to use transitions to add effect into their PowerPoint slides.
Some: Will show use of formatting backgrounds and text in a PowerPoint and be able to run a slideshow once their PowerPoint is created.

6. All about you! Include: Name and Age What primary school you are from
Task:
To design a PowerPoint slide all about yourself so I can get to know you better as your new ICT Teacher.
Include:
Name and Age
What primary school you are from
What your favourite subject is at school
Hobbies and interests
Favourite things (sports teams, TV programs)
What music you like

7. Powerpoint Checklist – week 1
Can you:
Add and delete new slides
Add text boxes
Change a background colour
Change the effects of fonts

8. Homework This is due in next lesson:
Come up with 10 facts about you that make you unique.
