Lesson 1- Inside a Seed Objectives:
Aim: Exploring the inside of a seed. Objectives: Students will look inside a seed to discover the beginning of a plant. Students will be able to identify the different parts of a seed. Students will discuss elements that are important for plants to grow.

Lesson 2- The Path of a Seed
Aim: How do seeds travel? Wind Water Hitchhikers Objectives: Students will discuss and explore the different paths seeds take.

Lesson 3- Germination Aim: What is Germination ? Objectives:
Students will know the parts of a seed. Students will know what Germination is. Students will understand the requirements for seeds to germinate and grow. Students will be able to explain the growth patterns of seedlings. Students will recognize differences between plants in their germination and growth requirements.

What does it mean when a seed Germinates?
Germination is the process that causes the seed to begin to sprout or grow.

Placing seeds in water to soak overnight
Pouring water into bags with paper towels. Completed Pocket Seed Viewer Materials for the experiment Seed packets (this experiment uses Peas, Little Marvel) Re-sealable plastic bags (sandwich or quart size) Paper towels or napkins Water and cups Tape Cardboard (optional) Paper clips (optional) Binder clips (optional) Worksheets String

Lesson 5- Photosynthesis
Aim: What do Plants Eat? Objectives: Students will discover that plant food is made from air, water, and sunlight. Students will discover that plants will go to great lengths to find light - even thread a maze.

Photosynthesis is the process plants goes through in order to make food. What plants need for photosynthesis: carbon dioxide water light What plants make by photosynthesis: glucose oxygen Photosynthesis
