We begin our work on percentages by finding 10%
We find 10% by dividing by 10.
We find 10% by moving the figures one place to the right.

There are several methods we can use to find 20%. However to introduce 20%
we find 10% and double it.

40% = 10% x 4
60% = 10% x 6
70% = 10% x 7
80% = 10% x 8
90% = 10% x 9
We also use the 10% to find 5%
5% = 10% divided by 2

9. Finding Other Percentages
50% = one half so we divide by 2
25% = one quarter so we divide by 4
75% = three quarters so we divide by 4 and multiply by three
