Father we thank you that you are near to us, and answer our prayers. We bring the needs of the people of Mosul before you.
We thank you that your heart is to see captives freed.
We pray for civilians who are captives and ask that they be freed.
We thank you that you are close to the broken hearted.
We bring before you each person who has suffered loss or trauma, and ask that you comfort and heal them.

Lord, we thank you for your church, the family you gave us that transcends borders.
Where they feel alone, comfort them and reunite communities.
As they return to find church buildings and homes have
been destroyed, help them rebuild.
Where their faith has been challenged, restore them.
Help us to pray for them, and show us how to help in practical ways.
We thank you for new believers in you. Please raise up godly people to lead your church in Iraq.
