Being descriptive in your writing means using more ADJECTIVES!
Example: I saw a dog.
Better Example: I saw a big black fluffy dog.
Even Better Example: I saw a big black fluffy dog that looked liked a little bear.

You will describe a walk through your neighborhood.
This will be a 5 paragraph writing.
Introduction
Just outside of my house.
Describe a place in your neighborhood.
Describe another place in your neighborhood.

- Tell the reader that you are going for a walk.
- Who are you with?
- Explain what you will talk about
Body 1 – Outside my house?
- What is it like outside of your house?
- Who and what do you see/hear/smell?
- What does your street look like? What is there?
Body 2 – Next Stop - park, supermarket, 7-11
Body 3 – Final Stop – grandma’s house, park, supermarket, breakfast shop, restaurant.

I live in a small alley on the 2nd floor. When I step outside my house, it is a lovely hot day. I smell something delicious. The breakfast café is already lined up with customers. It smells like cooking meat. I can hear birds chirping and my neighbors talking. “Hello,” a friendly voice says. It’s my neighbor. He is a friendly old man with gray hair. I say hello. My street is very quiet and peaceful. There are many scooters on my street but not too many cars. It is a nice day for a walk. Next, I bring my dog to the park. The park is always busy with people playing. I can see people playing basketball and . ….. Finally, I go to Starbucks to buy some coffee. Starbucks always smells so good. ……. I really like my neighborhood. There are so many things to see and do. I hope one day you can join me on a walk through my neighborhood.
