4 Mortal (noun/adj) A human being, especially as contrasted with a god

7 Plague noun/verb Noun -A deadly disease that spreads rapidly from person to person The Bubonic Plague killed many members of Shakespeare’s family including three sisters and a brother. Verb –pester or harass; irritate, nag A fear of the “black death” plagued Shakespeare his entire life.

8 Subside (verb) To sink to a lower level
The flood waters from Hurricane Harvey will take more than a month to subside. To become quieter or less active Gradually, the baby’s crying subsided.

9 Unwitting (adj) Not done on purpose; unintended

11 Think about it…. What kind of wound might be “mortal”?
Do you have a muse? What do you think of when you think of “pioneers”? What might plague you? What can cause a plague? What sorts of events subside? Have you ever made an unwitting insult? Whose wrath are you most afraid of?
