Review The Bible is the Word of God. The Tri-une God of the Bible
reveals Himself to man truly. Mankind is uniquely the Imago Dei on earth - Adam was the head of the Covenant of Works, exercising complete free will before the fall, but after the fall his will was completely controlled by the influence of sin. Jesus is the promised Messiah and Lord of all – the head of the Covenant of Grace the second Adam

The work of the Holy Spirit:
If Jesus as the Christ accomplished redemption on the cross and out of the tomb, then it is the Holy Spirit that applies that work of redemption to each person that is saved.

That particular man providentially there. He heard the gospel into the night. The Holy Spirit moved in his heart. Paul & Silas instructed/confirmed his faith.

The first three soils represent the response to the gospel in the hard heart. Only the last soil bears fruit. The difference is in the preparation of the heart by the Holy Spirit.

For by grace you have been saved through faith
For by grace you have been saved through faith. And this is not your own doing; it is the gift of God, not a result of works, so that no one may boast.
