Brief Summary Cecil was framed by Dayton
Ethel breaks off her engagement to Cecil and marries Dayton Cecil meets Colonel Andre in prison Cecil escapes and meets the Widow Dane Cecil discovers the dead body of Dacre, his doppelganger Cecil then takes on the identity of Dacre and romances Mabel Mabel Clare is working with Dayton by pretending to be Portia Cecil and Dayton discover that Widow Dane is actually Ethel Colonel Andre shows up alive and accidently reveals Cecil’s identity to Mabel, Dayton, and Hazri Jean secretly meets with Dayton and reveals his true identity as a USA Lawman Cecil is captured and put on trial Dayton is convicted and imprisoned Ethel divorces Dayton and marries Cecil Dayton commits suicide
