My Family Teaching for over 17 years
My husband and I have four children ranging from 21-28 I enjoy the outdoors, alternative rock, working out, reading and the Diamondbacks! My Family Teaching for over 17 years Most of my teaching experience is with middle school students!

Accelerated Reader (AR)
Individualized reading program Fiction and nonfiction books used to promote, motivate and improve students’ reading comprehension Link available on our school website (Media Center) College bound books

AR Responsibilities: Accelerated Reading completion is a part of your student’s overall grade
Students are to read 45 minutes a day 20 min. at school & 25 min. outside of school Log ALL reading completed on the log in pen Students take quizzes with Sustained Silent Reading (SSR) Teacher

Be aware of your child’s quarterly goal Honors 30 points per quarter

Wednesday Sprowal Math Thursday Yohalem Social Studies Monday-Thursday Homework Hub in the media center- independent unassisted work time Tutoring begins promptly at 4:05 to 4:45 PM Monday through Thursday. Each teacher has a tutoring day . Teachers may be available on other days by appointment only. A free late bus is provided for students Monday through Thursday.

· Binders used or new (company logos just fine) · Lined index cards (any size) · Composition notebooks Scotch tape ***** · Loose-leaf paper regular or college lined · Boxes of tissue · Pencils · Blue or black pens · Plastic sleeves for 8 ½ X 11 paper · 1 or 2-G flash drive Discarded books your child enjoyed reading Cardboard standup advertisements Tax Credit donations to Bogle Small envelopes Roll of Thunder Hear My Cry, The Outsiders, A Midsummer Night’s Dream

Provide encouragement
Grab an index card and an envelope Leave your child a note and put it in the envelope Place the child’s FIRST AND LAST NAME on the envelope along with their LA class period and seal it shut Place it in the wooden house when you leave I’ll deliver the message to them

Final Thoughts Please grab a sticky note from the class wish list board Are there items at your place of employment which could be donated as class incentives? Leave your child a note in an envelope I’ll deliver the message!
