This powerpoint can be used to support the teaching of ‘Shape, space and measure’ targeted towards the early learning goals.

2. Teaching tips:
Once children are familiar measuring using non standard units of measure, why not introduce measuring length using a ruler. Look at the ruler and explain what the intervals mean. Now measure the arrows using the ruler, remind the children how to measure accurately.
Ext: Why not have a g at measuring different objects around the classroom using a ruler.
