dangers
safety
causes of accidents
your own influence and
responsibility

6. but first, let’s look at
the ‘big picture’

7. In groups, think of all the types of craft you may see on the inland waterways
for each type, list the following information:
cargo or passenger or both?
minimum and maximum length of the vessels
how are they powered? sail? engine? other?
number of crew and passengers
areas of the delta where they are usually seen
particular hazards with this type of vessel
