2 Warm Up Activity-10 minutes
What does it take to create a new country? If you had the chance, what kind of country would you create? Who runs your country? What are the rules of your country? Who lives in your country? Where is it located?

Make a flag representing your new country from paper given Send it home to be colored Create 5 rules that govern your country ?

Territory A Geographic Location; Can I locate it on a map? Population How many people live there? Sovereignty Ability to control your territory Government Rules of your territory

Executive-is the person who executes rights and responsibilities of the country as its designated leader Legislative-is a group of people who make laws Judicial-is a group that settles disputes over laws Constitution-is a formal body of laws governing a country Dictatorship-government ruled by the will of the leader Democracy-government ruled by the will of the people Oligarchy-government ruled by the will of a few people in power State-body of people living in a defined area with the power to make and enforce laws. Sovereign-having supreme or absolute authority
