There are more than 14 million EU expats within the EU.
There are more than 80 million EU citizens living and working outside their home country worldwide.

ETTW: A pan-European association speaking out for the 80 million European citizens living abroad.
Its members are the national expat and regional expat organizations
Works to ensure the democratic rights and democratic participation for European citizens wherever they live and to improve assistance to European citizens everywhere.
I-voting is one of ETTW’s current priorities.

of ~ 80 millions EU expats exercise their right to vote for national & EU elections
The Plenary Sessions are where the actions is:
The Plenary sessions are the five annual gatherings of all members of the CoR
At the Plenary Sessions the opinions which have been drawn up and adopted in the Commissions are debated and adopted by the entire CoR
Furthermore the plenaries are often used to facilitate contacts with the Commission and the European Parliament.
Often there will be a Commissioner present and - at the last plenary last week - the President of the European Parliament adressed the CoR
Also the CoR provides an opportunity for informal discussions to take place among the members of the CoR

7. Expats’ voting alternatives
Voting by post: better, but has several limitations.
Internet voting (I-voting): best but still unknown. Used by Estonia & France (expats) for now

10. i-Voting for expats
ETTW pursues i-voting to be accepted in as many EU countries, enabling +80 millions EU expats to vote for EU & national elections.
EU2019 is our first target.
