2 Background According to the World Health Organization, "Only 5% of the world is deaf.” Only 10% of deaf children have deaf parents

3 Signing According to the NAD,” Signing is the back bone to deaf culture.” American Sign Language isn't another form of English.

4 Deaf Culture Deaf People don’t value music, or movies.
They love social events Value Language Connecting with each other

5 Deaf Pride They love being deaf They aren't disabled.
Many deaf people have college degrees, and carriers.

6 Cochlear Implant What is it? It isn’t a cure for deafness.
Deaf Community doesn't accept it.

7 What can you do? Stand towards them, and talk normally.
Try using paper, or your phone BE PATIENT

8 Conclusion Deaf people have a culture that we should respect.
They aren’t broken or disabled. Just try.
