Support and enhance lab safety and efficiency
Meet the lab safety officer(s)
Enter emergency contact information into phone
Locate emergency equipment
Learn about emergency response SOPs
Enquire about proper waste disposal (especially for potentially reactive chemicals)
Complete a check-in bench inventory
Reshelf any leftover chemicals with attention to proper storage and/or disposal

2. Synthetic Labs - Check Out List
Move out day activities:
 Store your products and synthetic intermediates
Label all important synthetic intermediates and products
Record location and structure/name label on an index document
Inform lab supervisor of storage location(s)
Leave a clean and safe hood space for the next student
Return cleaned flasks, NMR tubes etc., to proper drawers
Return general items to the designated areas
Complete a check-out bench inventory
Return all chemicals to their appropriate chemical storage locations. l
Properly dispose chemical waste
Thoroughly wash the hood with detergents .
Desk space
Thoroughly clean desk and drawers
Unlock drawers and cabinets
Return keys to Mary Beth in the main office.
