What do you think elders/pastors do?

What do you think elders/pastors do?
Wanted: pastor. He only speaks for 20 minutes yet thoroughly expounds on the Word of God. He tells it like it is, but never hurts anybody’s feelings. The work hours are 8 AM until 10 PM, 7 days a week, but does not neglect his family. He is 26 years old, and has been preaching for 3 decades. He has a burning desire to work with teens, and spends all of his time with the older people. He makes 15 calls a day to church members, is constantly sharing the Gospel with unbelievers, and active in the community, and is never out of the office.

The Local Church “The local church is an identifiable community of regenerated believers who confess Jesus Christ as Lord. In obedience to Scripture, they gather regularly under the authority of qualified leadership for worship, preaching and teaching, and to observe the ordinances of baptism and the Lord’s Supper. The local church is unified by the Holy Spirit, disciplined for holiness, and equipped to fulfill the Great Commission and the Great Commandment as Jesus’ representatives to the world, for the glory of God, and their eternal joy.”

Who They Are “So I exhort the elders among you, as a fellow elder and a witness of the sufferings of Christ, as well as a partaker in the glory that is going to be revealed:  shepherd the flock of God that is among you.” (1-2)

WhoThey Are Πρεσβυτέρους “Elder”: One who has spiritual maturity. Ποιμάνατε “Pastor”: One who carries responsibility. ἐπισκοποῦντες “Overseer” One who has authority

Why They Do It “not under compulsion, but willingly, as God would have you;[b] not for shameful gain, but eagerly;  not domineering over those in your charge, but being examples to the flock.  And when the chief Shepherd appears, you will receive the unfading crown of glory.” (2-4)
