2 Motivating Example – Plan to Capture Baby Roo
From Simpler version presented by Ernie Davis: Rabbit, Pooh and Piglet are forming a joint plan to distract Kanga's attention so that they can substitute Piglet for Roo so that Kanga will not notice that Roo is gone so that Rabbit can run off with Roo.

3 My interest and works related to this
Rabbit, Pooh and Piglet are forming a joint plan to distract Kanga's attention so that they can substitute Piglet for Roo so that Kanga will not notice that Roo is gone so that Rabbit can run off with Roo. Single agent - sensing action; conditional plans (world states vs knowledge states) Multi agent - Hans and Yves; DEL STRIPS like action language for multi-agent scenarios (DEL – approximations) What are states? What are actions? How are transitions defined? English-like description of actions. DEL - action models (can we have approximations) Goals Finite representation of initial states Knowledge and Belief

4 Knowledge and belief Rabbit, Pooh and Piglet are forming a joint plan to distract Kanga's attention so that they can substitute Piglet for Roo so that Kanga will not notice that Roo is gone so that Rabbit can run off with Roo. Initial state (S0): Common knowledge between Rabbit, Pooh, Piglet and Kanga that Roo is not gone. Action Sequence: Kanga is distracted (next state – S1) Roo is replaced (next state – S2) Rabbit takes Roo away (next state – S3) Knowledge vs Belief S0: Kanga knows that Roo is not gone S3: Kanga believes that Roo is not gone (But actually Roo is gone)
