Ron Krabill Ron Krabill teaches cultural studies, media studies and African studies in the School of Interdisciplinary Arts and Sciences at the University of Washington Bothell, where he directs the MA in Cultural Studies program. He holds a Ph.D. in Sociology and Historical Studies from the New School for Social Research and serves on the Executive Board of the Simpson Center for the Humanities. His research focuses on media and human rights, media and politics in South Africa, discourses of global citizenship, and critical community-based pedagogy. He is the author of Starring Mandela and Cosby: Media and the End(s) of Apartheid (Chicago, 2010).
