What is mentoring? Mentoring is a process base upon a relationships between individuals or groups. The relationship is supportive , encourages mutual growth and requires genuine communications. Both the mentor and the mentee grow from this realtionship.

Project SEED Mentoring
Mentoring in Project SEED is done informally. Mentors will serve as social supports to students enrolled in Project SEED. There is no schedule of contact ,it can be done at the convenience of both mentor and seed student. Mentors need to encourage SEED students to engage in on campus activities, communicate with professors and socialize with peers.

Mentoring in this program is more formal and done on a group basis. Mr. York’s Parkland class gets together with Mr. Davis’ LCCC Mentors every Friday, 9:00 a.m. in SH 145 for a planed activity.
