Description environment
That enables distributed metadata production and possibilities to move forward in production of open linked metadata
Is able to serve all kinds of libraries with several different systems

Metadata is synchronized/replicated between Melinda and local catalogue
Metadata is filtered and edited by following specific rules for each local catalogue
Metadata can be changed also on local system
Melinda does not include holdings or item information
Inhouse developed protocols for duplication-control
Inhouse developed protocols for handling component parts (mother and child records for f.ex music)
