We can approach God with confidence -“Our Father”
Our Father in heaven loves us deeply! – 1 John 3:1; Luke 15:11-32
We can approach God knowing that He loves us and wants the very best for our lives! – Matthew 7:7-11; Hebrews 12:5-11

We must approach God with reverence -“Hallowed . . .”
We must never forget that God is holy
We should approach God with a sense of awe and with the utmost respect! – Psalm 8:1-9; 139

6. What to Pray for Pray for God’s Sovereign reign -“Thy kingdom come”
Pray for God’s rule in the hearts of men – Luke 17:20-21
Pray for the advancement of God’s kingdom on earth – Matthew 28:18-20
Pray for complete obedience to God’s will – Matthew 26:39; Philippians 2:12-13; Romans 12:1-2

7. What to Pray for
Pray for God’s daily provisions -“Give us this day . . .“
We must never forget that we are totally dependant on God!
Jesus taught us to trust God to take care of us – Matthew 6:25-33

Pray for God’s forgiveness -”Forgive us our debts . . .”
We accumulate more debt every day! – Romans 3:10, 23
When we confess our sin and repent, God freely forgives us – John 1:8-9; Psalm 103:10-13
But we must also freely forgive those who sin against us! – Matthew 6:14-15

9. What to Pray for Pray for God’s guidance and help -”Lead us not . . .”
Pray for spiritual guidance to make good choices – Psalm 25:4-5
Pray for strength to overcome every trial and temptation – Corinthians 10:13; 1 John 4:4

Praise God for His Kingdom -“For thine is the kingdom
God’s Kingdom is having a great influence on the world!
Praise God for all He is doing through His Kingdom!

He is the Almighty, Creator and Sustainer of all things
Praise God for His Awesome Power!
