6. Women bear the burden of violence and displacement...
Women make up more than 49% of the total displaced population.
The proportion of displaced women heads of household ranges between 34.6%, according to the RUT, and according to the RSS. These figures are well above the average percentage of women heads of households, estimated at 24%.
Children and young people are the main victims of the humanitarian crisis and displacement…
Persons under 18 represent 48% of the total displaced population.
Approximately 6,000 children are involved in the armed conflict, through forced recruitment and by other means.
