5. CHAPTER 3 : Literature Review
This chapter will identify and interpret dichotomies in the progressive realisation of state obligations to respect, protect and fulfil human rights norms, e.g. the International Bill of Rights and ICERD 1965, for people of African descent.
Supranational, national and local public bodies are major stakeholders in the implementation of universal human rights.
My research proposes to create new knowledge which contributes to the elimination of race inequality within and between countries, SDG10.

6. CHAPTER 4: Bristol 2015
A micro study of human rights interventions in a multicultural urbanism.
SDG 11 asserts “make cities and human settlements inclusive, safe, resilient and sustainable”. What is the relevance of SDGs to social conditions affecting African diaspora urban populations ?
An analytical approach to the interdisciplinary relevance of identity and urban sustainability is vital to integration policies. Can objectives of Bristol 2015 empower African diaspora populations ?

7. CHAPTER 5 A rights based approach to development in UK HEI
It is imperative public bodies address human rights violations affecting people of African descent. E.g. unequal realisation of the right to education in the UK.
This chapter proposes to critically analyse interventions by academic institutions for the achievement of “more inclusive and equitable quality education and promote lifelong learning opportunities”, SDG4.
The achievement of sustainable development goals will be linked to recognition of the International Decade for people of African Descent. E.g. implementation of the right to education through supranational, national and local initiatives.

8. CHAPTER 6 Identity and Integration of Afro Europeans: Towards an EU Framework of national strategies to combat Afrophobia and promote the inclusion of People of African Descent
This chapter asserts a cosmopolitan approach for the implementation of anti-racist norms throughout Europe in collaboration with AFFORD & ENAR. This is in accordance with the findings of the UNCHR Working Group for people of African Descent (E/CN.4/2003/WG.20/WP.3).
Potential advocacy actions for collaborative research: ‘to collect and publish EU wide racial discrimination and equality data; ensure people of African descent equal access to quality education free of (…) racism and discrimination,’ including use of indicators.

9. CHAPTER 7 Discussion: “People of African descent - recognition, justice and development.”
reflect on human rights and development interventions realised through this research.
use the findings from qualitative and quantitative collaborative action research with AFFORD and ENAR to map outcomes for marginalised African diaspora communities in UK & Europe.
critically assess the achievement of sustainable development goals, recognition of the International Decade for People of African Descent, and implementation of its Plan of Action.
create original and new knowledge in the field of human rights, to highlight impacts made locally, nationally and internationally in achieving sustainable development goals for African descendant peoples.

It is imperative the Post 2015 Development Agenda promotes and protects universal human rights for people of African descent,
through the inclusive achievement of sustainable development goals.
monitoring the realisation of state obligations to respect, protect and fulfil universal human rights in accordance with the objectives of the International Decade and its Plan of Action.
relies on empirical evidence of sustainable development goals, and the UN Post 2015 Development Agenda, implementing universal human rights for people of African descent.
