2
Mechanical (HVAC) -Update Outdated Systems (get rid of boiler heat)
Heating and AC: -forced air heating + cooling systems -central furnace + air conditioner and heat pump -Ventilation -improve natural and mechanical ventilation
3
Mechanical (Plumbing)
-Update outdated systems -Streamlined design -Account for specific needs -emergency showers/ eye washing - sinks for every two students
4
Mechanical (Lighting)
-fluorescent light bulbs -experiment w/ LED lights -larger/ more windows -individual student desk lighting
5
Mechanical (Electric)
-increased # of power strips -outlets for each desk -secure places to leave computers to charge (lunch, gym, etc.)
6
Mechanical (Data/ Internet)
7
Materials/ Surfaces The floor must meet high standards - Epoxy Flooring -easy to clean and chemical resistant work table - Phenolic Resin - excellent with most chemistry situations. Walls will be standard concrete blocks, but can be painted by art classes.

Productivity Students to Students: Students will have the ability to collaborate and share each other's work or ideas between one another by viewing the whiteboard/smart board workspace provided on each desk. Teachers to Students: Teachers will be able to provide better instruction than before by changing the different heights of desks and chairs to maximize communication and guidance. The teachers will also have access to the microphones and projectors described below Experts/Teacher and Students: The class will be able to communicate with experts in the field of chemistry by video chatting using the ceiling mounted, rotating projectors. The classroom with also include surround sound speakers, high performance microphones, and a classroom camera so communication is clear.

Work/ Productivity Spaces
All the desk are able to rise and lower so if you working on a experiment you can raise it so you're standing then if you're doing class work it will lower so that you can sit. they also have a flip over screen so if you're talking to someone outside of the class he shows up there or the teacher is doing notes they pop up on the screen each station has rolling/ spinning chairs so that way you can turn to watch the teacher in the demonstration chamber or turn to talk to your group. at each station there is the gas tubes and a outlet under the desktop for easy access to be able to charge your devices or plug in something like a hot plate. all of the test tube, bunsen burners, chemicals, etc… are located in the basement storage that has ample space to store everything. there will be a camera mounted so that way we can video chat with people outside of the class and they can see us
