Power supply in one loop with a motor, an ammeter and a bulb. Voltmeter measuring the p.d. over the bulb. A circuit with a power pack and 2 bulbs in parallel. An ammeter measuring the current through each of the bulbs.

Current and Voltage Current – A measure of the rate (speed) at which electric charge (electricity) is flowing in a circuit. It is measured in Amps (A). Potential Difference or Voltage – A measure of the ‘push’ the battery supplies. How much energy is transferred onto / by the charge carriers. It is measured in Volts (V)
