Expect to begin enrollment 12/1/16 Number of participants eligible Hershey – 87 eligible, 20 new possible in enrollment period Pinnacle - 38 eligible, 24 new possible in the enrollment period Hamilton/Alder – 12 eligible, 10 new possible in the enrollment period Monthly enrollment targets: pts./month for 6 mos. Status of Implementation IRB – Approved at Hershey, Alder, Hamilton. Pinnacle will present to their IRB in early December. App completion – Nearing completion; awaiting finalized terms and conditions, final HIPPA compliance approval Staff – Site app manager at each site, overall managed by Matt Mahoney

Mobile App development – Nearing completion; awaiting finalized terms and conditions Staff – App manager at each site, overall managed by Matt Mahoney Staff – SMCMs are established at each site, training to begin as soon as app is finalized Pilot intervention: App is being tested by members of our Community Advisory Board (CAB) who will provide feedback

Mobile app Tech. related approvals, mostly dealing with data security/HIPAA Terms and conditions – legalese App content Messaging to and from multiple sites (eg. Hershey or Pinnacle with Alder) IRB Changing data requirements and protocol Multiple sites Approval for app use vs. approval for survey

6 Recruitment Each site has produced a list of current eligible patients
Recruitment candidates: All patients in our existing programs, ages 18-34, seen at least once since 1/1/15 who fulfill the SPNS eligibility criteria Expect newly enrolled patients to qualify as well (referred to our program via our OPT-In social media campaign) Study design has been vetted by our CAB Recruitment script completed Stipend for enrollment: $50 for initial survey completion and enrollment $25 for each follow-up survey completion Study enrollment specialist hired to serve Hershey/Pinnacle

7 Recruitment Logistics of enrollment
Each site to begin calling eligible patients on or around 12/1/16 Use of telephone script Scheduled enrollment visits on or around next scheduled appointment Enrollment specialist will meet patients at Hershey and Pinnacle Enrollment at Alder and Hamilton may take place on site or in the field Survey completion, download of app onto smartphone, tablet, and/or computer; instructions sent by

Will our patients be interested in joining? Advantages Stipend Fun with a new app Ability to message with team, see lab tests, and journal Disadvantages Fun enough? HIV is often out of sight, out of mind – especially for those prone to dropping out Will the app keep their interest? Will they want to continue to interact with the app? Coordination of data collection at multiple sites
