1 BASEAL Relationships - 3

2 L.O.1 L.O.2 I can tell you about someone that I no longer see.
I understand that we can remember people even if we no longer see them.

3 We are going to read the story
“Badger’s Parting Gifts”. How did the animals feel when Badger died? How did the animals feel at the end of the story? What helped them to feel a bit better? What were Badger’s parting gifts?

4 Sometimes we like to look back and remember special people.
Here are some stories about just that thing.

7 How do you think the author knew about the “two Doreens” or great-great-great uncle John when he had never met them? Are the stories funny or sad? Can stories be funny and sad at the same time?

8 Your task is to find out about someone who lived a long time ago (over 60 years ago).
You should write a set of questions and use them to find out as much as you can about the person, what they looked like, what made them special, whether they are alive or dead and how they are remembered if they are dead. We will create a display about the people you research and add any pictures or photographs if we can. You can then quiz each other about who you have researched.

9 Some things to think about….
Why are animals born and why do they die? What would happen if everyone lived forever? Why do we remember people a long time ago?
