B O D Y Jeopardy* This is Albert Einstein's head.
SEE THE NEXT SLIDE FOR COMPLETE INSTRUCTIONS. You need to first introduce "part of" and "on" using your own body and those of others before using this PPT. For example, you might start with "My right eye [gesture to indicate right eye] is part of my head [gesture to indicate head]" and "My right thumb [gesture to indicate thumb] is on my right hand [gesture to indicate right hand]." Replace what’s on this slide with your own introduction. On slide 2, Replace the category names at the top with your own. To move the Daily Double, Find the box with a hyperlink to the Daily Double; Change the hyperlink for that box to point directly to its category + value slide; Change the hyperlink for another box to point to the Daily Double; Change the hyperlink on the explosion image to point to the appropriate slide. When using the presentation, click in the text field for a box and delete the point value before clicking to go to the slide; this way it will still be blank when you return to this page, marking that point value for the category as "used". On Slides 3-22, replace the text in the voice balloon with your own prompt and the text in the box at the top with the correct response (in the form of a question). To play the game in a classroom, here are some suggested modifications of the rules: Divide the room into two teams; Divide each team into small groups (2-4) who will collaborate on a turn; Each turn passes to the next group on the team, even if a group answers correctly and the team chooses the next item; If there is someone who is not collaborating on a turn but is a member of the same team, he/she may announce the correct response, but in that case the team gets only half the point value; If the team taking the turn responds incorrectly or allows the time to run out, the other team has 5 seconds in which to give a response; If someone responds with the correct information, but does not respond in the form of a question, he/she is reminded to respond in the form of a question and is given five seconds to do so. To return from a question slide to the point values board slide, click on the picture of Einstein at the bottom. To go from the Daily Double screen to the Daily Double question, click anywhere in the explosion icon around the “2”. When all the questions are used up, click on the point values board slide to advance to the final face-off. This PowerPoint is based on a template originally created by Jerry Myers, with some new elements added and some elements of his template changed by Doug Coleman. *The originators of the television game Jeopardy are in no way to be held responsible for this version called "Body Jeopardy." New users: see the notes at the bottom of this slide before starting play the first time.
