Social Class In pairs, define the term social class.
What determines the class you are in? Social class refers to a group of people in a similar economic situation, such as occupation and income. It can have significant effects on people’s life chances in society, including: Their level of education Their social status Their leisure activities Their type of housing Social mobility refers to the ability of people to move from one class to another.
