2. Mr. Bailey
All fifth grade students will be in Mr. Bailey’s class for their Math block. They will also have Mr. Bailey for Science class.

3. Mrs. McNew
All fifth grade students will be in Mrs. McNew’s class for their Reading, Writing, and Grammar block.They will also have Mrs. McNew for Social Studies class.

4. Mrs. Reese-Giles
Mrs. Reese-Giles, and Mrs. McBeth, will be working with both Mr. Bailey and Mrs. McNew in their classrooms. Our fifth graders are lucky to experience Lurgan’s co-teaching teams this year. 

5. Parent Reports
Parent reports will be sent home weekly in order to keep you informed of your child’s progress and achievement in academic and behavior areas.

6. Classroom Rules No running/rough play in the classroom.
Chewing gum is not permitted.
Homework is expected on time.
Respect others and their property.
If the teacher is called from the room, remain in your seat.
Stay calm. Use self-control at all times.

7. Daily Planners
Students will be given an agenda book to write down assignments. If students show they are not responsible for turning in homework, these agenda books will need to be signed by a parent each evening.

8. PSSA’s
Fifth graders will be taking Reading, Math, and Writing PSSA’s. These 3 tests will be administered in April-May 2009.
