1 LECTURE 3 CHAPTER 1 & 2

2 EQUPMENTS REQUIRED BEFORE START OF LECTURE
BOOK (WITH THE PARTICULAR CHAPTER OPENED) ROUGH REGISTER PEN & CALCULATOR

3 TOPICS TO BE COVERED Stoichiometry Matter Three States of Matter
Mole (Numerical) Avogadro’s Law (Numerical) Stoichiometry Mass-Mass Relationship (Numerical) Mass-Volume Relationship (Numerical) Volume-Volume Relationship (Numerical) Matter Three States of Matter Solids Liquids Gases Kinetic Molecular Theory of Gases (Postulates) Behavior of Gases Compressibility Diffusibility Pressure

4 Matter: Anything that has mass and occupies space is called matter
Three States of Matter: Solids: The state of matter in which molecules are tightly packed and have definite shape and volume are called solids. They have greater force of attraction b/w them and have fixed pattern.

5 Liquids: The state of matter which has definite volume but not definite shape is called liquids. Molecules are loosely bonded in liquids Gases: The state of matter which has no definite shape neither a definite volume is called gases. Molecules are widely separated in gases.
