Matter: Anything that has mass and occupies space is called matter
Three States of Matter: Solids: The state of matter in which molecules are tightly packed and have definite shape and volume are called solids. They have greater force of attraction b/w them and have fixed pattern.

Liquids: The state of matter which has definite volume but not definite shape is called liquids. Molecules are loosely bonded in liquids Gases: The state of matter which has no definite shape neither a definite volume is called gases. Molecules are widely separated in gases.
