410 – 430 MHz band Range Applications
1427 – 1452 MHz (D band) Aeronautical telemetry
2310 – 2450 MHz (E band) Aeronautical telemetry
All bands are shared with other users
Radio Amateurs use E band for low power video transmissions
TETRA uses 400Mhz frequencies for services communications

Aircraft have separate video & data tx’s
Space, frequency diversity used.

Meetings with users and MoD taking place
No immediate threat identified
No new D band authorizations for aeronautical telemetry

7. Current Status
Increased demand for bandwidth anticipated
Support will be given to proposal for additional frequencies above 3GHz. ( may need new techniques )
Techniques to improve utilization of existing spectrum to be considered
Continue & expand dialog
