Boy who has Duchenne muscular dystrophy demonstrating the sequence of maneuvers that constitutes Gowers sign. The child pushes off the floor with all 4 extremities, then prepares to push up by moving the hands along the floor closer to the feet, and finally places the hands on the thighs and pushes up to the erect position.
