PROFESSIONAL APPEARANCE:
While not ideal, many people make quick snap judgments of someone based off initial appearance and it is just reality. At Fathom 4, we need to stand out from the rest of the pack and be known as the most professional business each customer had worked with in their career. Obviously, we must be absolutely professional in our day to day tasking, but let’s not have that hard work trumped by a few items that can be fixed in a matter of minutes. For example:
Rule of Thumb: If your gut tells you it “might” be a little unprofessional to wear this today, you are probably right.
Shirts tucked in
(when applicable)
(Male) Unless growing a legitimate beard; shave everyday
No baseball caps in the workplace, unless working outside all day
No baseball caps turned backwards
No ripped jeans / pants
(Male) No sleeveless shirts
Belt with pants (if it has loops)
Recognize when to wear a collared shirt and when it is OK not to wear one
Recognize when better to wear dress pants over jeans
No shirt with off-color logo / graphic / phrase
No tennis shoes / flip flops
Be conservative with respect to clothing being too revealing
