1. Produce a A4 poster displaying Health and Safety rules in the textiles room. Images and key words should be used.
3. Design a new school uniform. Think about making it hard wearing, comfortable, practical and cheap to buy. It must be in the school colours, one part must be easily to change to the house colours i.e. the badge now.
5. Research cotton, linen, silk and wool (natural fabrics) and produce a leaflet showing your findings. It has to be bright, bold, informative and colourful.
7. Ask your teacher for the instructions to make a sock creature and some stuffing. Make a sock creature as close to the instructions as possible.
2. Make a textiles related word search (at least 14 words) You will need to ask your teacher for a grid. Ensure your words interlink.
4. Ask for some Binca fabric. Cross stitch your name clearly onto it. You could add a boarder or some design work to improve the overall outcome.
6. Customise an old piece of clothing (e.g t-shirt, shorts, jeans) You can up-cycle it (turn it into something else wearable) or you can improve it by adding embellishment and colour.
8. Write a story titled “Fibre to fabric” Take one fibre (i.e. cotton) & describe it’s journey from the source to the final fabric. Ask for key word sheet.
