Gratitude must be developed
We tend to take things for granted and focus on the negative
Gratitude is developed by taking the time to acknowledge all of our blessings – James 1:17 (Zig Ziglar)

7. Thankfulness is the natural impulse to express that feeling
When you are truly grateful, you want to thank the Giver
There’s a feeling of obligation to do something in response – Luke 17:15-16
Thankfulness is what motivates us to Thanks-Giving

Thankfulness is often suppressed by Selfishness and Pride
We either don’t care, or we think somehow we deserve it – Luke 17:17-18
Thankfulness is a by-product of humility – Romans 1:18-21

It is the act of expressing your thankfulness
Our service to God is the proof of a grateful and thankful heart - 1 Corinthians 15:9-10
It is offensive to God when we fail to express proper Thanks-Giving - Luke 17:17-18; Malachi 1:6-14

Let us continually express our Thanks-Giving to God
With the fruit of our lips – Hebrews 13:15; Ephesians 5:19-20
And the service we yield – Hebrews 13:16; Romans 12:1-2
