Illinois E-Learning Initiative
40%-60% of current 9th graders will not graduate from high school. Traditional methods of diploma recovery not working. GED becoming less attractive to employers. Maryland and Florida successfully experimented with “on-line learning” approach. Illinois eLearning Initiative conceived.

In 2002, Colorado planned for expansion of its Workforce system capacity through a Knowledgebase Portal: A gateway providing a single point of entry for access of information and applications. GOALS: Provide accessible training Expand system capacity Support better customer service Leverage dollars
