Stewardship Objectives: To explore what stewardship is
How does it play a role in the life of a Christian? Learning Outcomes: To be able to explain the concept of stewardship To reflect on how this affects the everyday life of a Christian.

Watch the clip – make a list of all the things a ‘steward’ has to do. What other types of stewards are there?

Genesis “So God created man in his own image, in the image of God he created him; male and female he created them. God blessed them and said to them, ‘Be fruitful and increase in number; fill the earth and subdue it. Rule over the fish of the sea and the birds of the air and over every living creature that moves on the ground.” (Genesis 1:27-28) Underline what you think the key words are in this passage

So stewardship is ... Having a responsibility to look after what we have. Christians believe that they have a duty to take care of the world around them, as God appoints them to be stewards (people responsible for resources) Make sure you can offer your own description of stewardship; write this now in your exercise books.
