HOW DO I EARN CREDIT? Every class = .5 (½) credit each semester.
(No, you do not get credit for aclab) 7 classes each semester = 3.5 credits 2 semesters every year = 7 credits 4 years of High School= 28 credits (24 needed for graduation) Students are able to earn up to 1.0 credit in summer school each summer.

GET INVOLVED! STAY ELIGIBLE TO PARTICIPATE!
We know students that get involved do better in school. Find something you like to do from the list we have provided to you today. South offers a lot of sports, performing groups and clubs for you to choose from. ELIGIBILITY RULES Athletics, Music Performance Groups and Speech/Debate are governed under the Missouri State High School Activities Association. Students MUST meet eligibility requirements to participate! In order to be eligible to participate in MSHAA activities students must receive 3.0 credits the semester before the activity occurs.

A+ PROGRAM Free tuition for community college, vocational or technical school for up to 6 semesters Graduate with at least a 2.5 cumulative GPA 95% attendance rate by the end of senior year 50 hours of tutoring / community service Good citizenship Proficient on Algebra EOC Exam See your counselor or Mrs. Gebhard, our school’s A+ Coordinator to sign up!

Click on “Do What You Are” under “My Assessments” This will help you learn about your personality, strengths, and blindspots. You will also see suitable careers and majors. Be as honest as you can with your answers so you can get the most helpful information for you! Do as much as you can in the time we have left. Remember you can complete this assessment later if you do not complete it by the end of the block.
