Digestive System stomach – structure in which food is chemically digested small intestine – chemical digestion is continued here; site of nutrient absorption large intestine – place where water is absorbed from solid waste rectum – stores solid waste until it is released from the body mesentery tissue – layer of connective tissue that sustains & supports the small intestines

Renal System renal artery – supplies the kidneys with blood kidney – removes cellular waste from the blood ureter – duct that carries liquid waste from kidneys to bladder urinary bladder – storage of liquid waste urethra – liquid waste is removed from the body via this duct

Reproductive System ovaries – storage & maturation of female gametes (eggs) oviduct – duct leading from ovaries to uterus / place of fertilization (in mammals) uterus – site of fetus development / differentiation testis – site of male gamete (sperm) production vas deferens – duct leading from testis, eventually reaching the urethra
