Examples of Successful people (students) Daniel and S.M.A. 1. Thomas Edison Thomas Edison's teachers told him he was "too stupid to learn anything." After that, things stayed bleak for a while, as Edison went onto be fired from his first two  jobs, for not being suitably productive. Edison went on to hold more than 1,000 patents and invented some world-changing devices, like the phonograph, practical electrical lamp, and a movie camera.

4 Dream Always have a dream. It sets your mind on fire
It should be something you think about always Your dream guides you to success Find your dream and passion Dream should be connected to a mentor in your field Avoid dream killers. Find a study group if possible

5 Desire Desire is a sense of longing or hoping for a person, object, or outcome. Show that you want to be the best in your studies but also in other aspects Avoid dislike for a certain teacher. Makes things only difficult for you! Be inquisitive. Ask open questions as much as possible. You can only learn from them READ!!

6 Devotion/Dedication Devotion is defined as an Ardent, often selfless affection and dedication, as to a person or principle. Dedication in assignments Be devoted to the things that will enable you fulfill your desire/dream Do external research on your course when you can Try to make it a hobby Difficult courses require devotion to overturn them

7 Discipline Know yourself very well
Time management is crucial. Have a set schedule Kill procrastination! Treat it as a poison. It is the difference between could have been and actual success Avoid distraction. It is always around. Social media could ruin your ambition. Focus Break your study work in small parts if possible SLEEP!! 8 hours is necessary a day. Don’t substitute

8 Diligence Defined as “a constant and earnest effort to accomplish what is undertaken” “Seest thou a man diligent in his business, he shall stand before Kings and not before mean men Prov.22:29” “If you really want to do something, you will find a way. If you don’t, you will find an excuse”

9 Determination “If you are have potential, are doing well or are destined for greatness there must be challenges” Never look down on yourself. Never give up Never be comfortable with mediocrity Approach other students for help if needed If you keep failing a course, remember Edison failed several times with the bulb, yet never gave up

10 Determination “Failure is learning a way which doesn’t work, the earlier you know the better your chances next time” The greatest tragedy is not failing but stopping. Don’t give up Always learn to move on no matter the setback

11 DISTINCTION “It is hard to fail but it is worse not to have tried to succeed”
