3. Young Living Essential Oils Are…..
The “life blood” of the plants
Safe when used properly
Very concentrated so only a few drops are needed
Always avoid putting essential oils in eyes or ears
Read labels on each bottle
Appropriate for use on all ages
Do your research, ask questions, trust your parental heart and your instinct

4. Some Basics Keep a bottle of pure (organic) vegetable oil handy
Olive, coconut, V-6, etc.
Keep essential oil bottles tightly capped and stored away from extreme temperatures and direct sunlight
When in doubt, dilute and/or apply to bottoms of the feet
Avoid using essential oils with synthetic, petroleum-based personal care products
Avoid topical use of citrus oils on areas that will be exposed to direct sunlight

5. Oils and Babies
Babies were anointed with Frankincense and Myrrh during Biblical times
Because babies’ skin is more delicate than adults, dilute with organic vegetable oil at least 1:1 before applying (some parents dilute up to 1:30)
Avoid the stronger oils (cinnamon, oregano, thyme)
