3 Communication Prior to the Game Sign and Return Contracts Promptly
Confirm Assignment Confirm Travel Arrangements

4 Communication At the Game Site Arrive Early and Meet the Game Host
Participate in a PreGame Meeting Look the Part Communicate with Coaches and Players Be a Facilitator Old Saying

5 Rules Every Official is Expected to be a Rules Expert!!!
Every Official Must Know Penalty Enforcement. Every Official Must Know the Clock Status.

6 Excellence Players and Coaches Practice for Hours – DAYS.
They want to be the BEST. Officials must strive to improve in every game. To remain the same is to get worse.

7 Work There is no substitute for OJT. Scrimmages, Games, Jamborees – as many as you can work helps an official get better. Always use proper mechanics.

8 Work Stay physically fit. Officiate multiple levels.
Have field presence. Practice and expect sporting conduct.
