Samson’s Disregard Eating the honey
And whatever goes on its paws, among all kinds of animals that go on all fours, those are unclean to you. Whoever touches any such carcass shall be unclean until evening Leviticus 11:27
8
Samson’s Disregard Eating the honey Marrying the Philistine
Nor shall you make marriages with them. You shall not give your daughter to their son, nor take their daughter for your son Deuteronomy 7:3

Samson’s Disregard Eating the honey Marrying the Philistine
Visiting a harlot 'Do not profane your daughter by making her a harlot, so that the land will not fall to harlotry and the land become full of lewdness. Leviticus 19:29
10
Samson’s Disregard Relationship with Delilah He loved her She loved money He gave away his sanctification to her 1100 pieces of silver = 34 lbs
11
Samson’s Disregard But he did not know that the LORD had departed from him Judges 16:20b According to the Nazarite vow, once the hair is shorn, the vow is finished. Does this mean he is now without hope?
12
Why did Samson tell his secret?
“I love her, so it is okay” “So far I have not lost my strength” “My strength is in me” “God strengthens me no matter what” “My hair isn’t really necessary” We don’t know exactly why Samson did this (he was tired to death of her pleading). Perhaps he may have thought one of these things
13
Using This Example: Our body is a temple 1 Corinthians 6:15-20 Sanctification: a holy purpose
14
Using This Example: Our body is a temple We have a strength from God I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me. - Philippians 4:13
15
Using This Example: Our body is a temple We have a strength from God It is dependent on our vow to Christ He would grant you, according to the riches of His glory, to be strengthened with might through His Spirit in the inner man Ephesians 3:16
16
Why Do We Throw It Away? “I love her, so it is okay” “So far I have not lost my strength” “My strength is in me” “God strengthens me no matter what” “My (virue) isn’t really necessary”
17
Samson’s Fate - Rendered blind - In humiliation he returned to God - His final act was his greatest Samson’s eyes seemed to get him in trouble; was this God’s doing?
18
Samson’s Example - He was destroyed by carelessness - He threw away his great gift - We can do the same Joh 7:38 "He who believes in Me, as the Scripture said, 'From his innermost being will flow rivers of living water.'" 39 But this He spoke of the Spirit, whom those who believed in Him were to receive; for the Spirit was not yet given, because Jesus was not yet glorified.
19
neglect so great a salvation?
Samson’s Example How will we escape if we neglect so great a salvation? Hebrews 2:3 Joh 7:38 "He who believes in Me, as the Scripture said, 'From his innermost being will flow rivers of living water.'" 39 But this He spoke of the Spirit, whom those who believed in Him were to receive; for the Spirit was not yet given, because Jesus was not yet glorified.
