Animals: free-tailed bats, coyotes, diamondback rattle snakes, kangaroo rats, roadrunners, and vampire bats

Was settles by mostly white Protestants
Farming is difficult so many people move to big cities in the area such as Roswell, Hobbs, Carlsbad, and Clovis
