Fire Extinguisher Monthly Inspections
This presentation demonstrates how to properly perform a monthly inspection Fire extinguishers must be inspected monthly, no more than 31 days between each inspection Monthly fire extinguisher inspections are required by Massachusetts, Boston Fire, NFPA, The Joint Commission.

Inspections Annual fire extinguisher maintenance is performed by a professional fire protection company. These companies have the proper tools and training to ensure proper maintenance. Once a fire extinguisher passes its annual inspection or reissued, it is verified with a dated inspection tag. A visual inspection is conducted monthly by in-house staff. EHS staff will inspect extinguisher tags during building inspections to ensure they are up to date and safe to use.
