4 Friendship A balanced relationship that improves mutual respect, builds good character & provides healthy behavior.

5 Balanced Friendships Balanced Friendships: Two people who give & receive from each other equally. One-sided friendship: A friendship where one person does most of the giving & the other person does most of the receiving.

6 How can you make new friends?
Join a Club or School Group Volunteer for a community project Talk to someone after class Invite a new person at school to join your friends at lunch

7 Definitions Clique - A group of friends that stick together most of the time & do not let someone in. Gossip - Talking behind someone’s back using information that is true or not true.

8 Class Activity (list first…)
Grab a partner You & your partner will be given a piece of paper. Draw a person who might look like someone who would be your friend. All the good/positive qualities INSIDE your friend All the bad/negative qualities OUTSIDE your friend.
