2. The current location is being used for the Bridge Closure Parking Lot

3. After the Bridge Reopens...
Soon after the Bridge reopens, life will return to normal in the Village of Hastings and once again this unused portion of Pond St will be abandoned as the current owner doesn’t maintain the property.

4. We propose to set up an 18 hole mini putt on the unused green space.

5. Why this location? Centre of the Village of Hastings Close to parking
Can be seen from the bridge, Water Street and Front Street
Easy access to restaurants, parks and amenities.
Unused land that is being offered a cheap rate

6. Benefits to Trent Hills
Currently, there are no mini putts within Trent Hills.
It is a service provided to current residents and tourists.
Excellent and fun means for young people to learn golf and for more advanced golfers to practise the short game.

7. The Business Plan in Brief
Target Market – seniors, tourists and children
Hours: Mon – Fri 1pm – 6pm and weekends
Cost - Adults $10.00 with HST
Seniors $8.50 with HST
Children between five and fifteen $8.50 with HST and must be accompanied by at least one paying adult or senior
Children under five years $5.00

The mini putt will offer a free game after nine are purchased
Work with local restaurants to offer discounts on meals if using the mini putt and vice versa (ie: 10% of game with receipt from meal)

9. What will the Hastings Mini Putt look like?
The mini putt needs approximately 20’ x 80’ space which will run along the north side of the property.
All holes are constructed with 6” x 2” wood held upright with rebar and filled with gravel to about 2” from the top. Carpet is laid on top of the gravel.
Each hole has a Canadian Theme.

Players must abide by the posted rules.
Players play at own risk.
A snow fence surrounds the mini putt
A trailer at one end will house a portable toilet and storage for lawn chairs.
No cash is kept on the premises at night.
