2. What are multiple meaning words?
Sometimes, a word has more than one meaning. When we see it in a sentence, we have to follow the following steps:
1. Think of all of the meanings of the word.
2. Look at the context (the words around it.)
3. Decide which meaning best fits the meaning of the sentence.

3. For example…
My teacher told me to make sure that the Chromebook was charged before taking my AR test.
CHARGED has more than one meaning.
It can be a past tense verb meaning “to run forcefully toward something” OR
It can mean to have battery power.
I know computers cannot run towards something, and I also know that they require battery power. Therefore, the second definition has to be correct.
